ABOUT

A Korean insider’s perspective on life, work, and culture.

Korea Insight is written by Young-Soo Yoo, a Korean who was born, raised, and has lived his entire life in South Korea. This is not a travel blog. It is a practical guide — built from a lifetime of navigating Korean business culture, daily life, government systems, and social norms as someone who has always lived here.

Why This Site Exists

Every week, foreigners arrive in Korea — some for work, some for love, some simply because they felt a pull toward this remarkable country. They find a society that is generous, fast-moving, and deeply layered with cultural nuance that no guidebook fully captures.

Korea Insight exists to fill that gap — to provide real, practical information from someone who has been in the room, signed the contracts, navigated the bureaucracy, and raised children through the Korean education system.
